FAQs

Is fire performance safe?

One of our goals as circus performers is to create the illusion of danger without actually posing any threat to the audience. We work with real fire, which is inherently dangerous, but we employ many tactics and safety measures to ensure that our audience can enjoy the show safely. All of our fire performers are insured through Specialty Insurance Agency, FAI fire safety certified, and trained in risk mitigation. Each of our fire performer travels with a trained fire safety personnel who is equipped with water, a fire blanket, and a fire extinguisher, and whose main job is to ensure the safety of the audience and the venue.

What are your venue requirements?

For a fire eating performance, we request a space that is at least 5’x10’ that is 4’ or more from the nearest audience member. More space is always better so we can move and dance during the performance! For indoor fire performances, the Seattle Fire Department requires 12’+ high ceilings and an automatic fire sprinkler system. If you think your venue fits the bill, give us a ring! We’ll handle all of the permitting and venue approval so that you can sit back and enjoy the show.

Can you spin fire indoors?

Yes! We have certain venue requirements that must be met prior to approving an indoor performance, such as proper ventilation, acceptable ceiling height, and a performance area free of obstructions and low-hanging equipment. We will arrange a walk through of the venue prior to the performance to ensure a safe environment, and we will adjust our fuel, choreography, and props used with venue restrictions and safety in mind.
